About Me
I began my teaching career at Elmhurst Primary School, a nationally recognised centre of excellence for Maths and Literacy. It was here that I first developed my mastery approach to teaching — influenced by the education systems of Singapore and Shanghai — working alongside expert educators who shared a belief that every child can succeed when taught with depth, consistency, and high expectations.
Over the following years I taught across three primary schools in different London boroughs, taking on a range of subject leadership roles. As Head of Maths, and having worked in both a Maths Mastery Hub and a Literacy Hub, I gained a deep understanding of what high-quality teaching looks like at every level — and what children need to truly thrive, not just get by.

Leaving the classroom wasn't a decision I took lightly. But I reached a point where I knew I could have a far greater impact working directly with children in a more personal, focused way. In a classroom of thirty, even the best teacher can only do so much. Working one-to-one or in small groups, I can give every child the attention, feedback, and encouragement they deserve — and actually see the difference it makes.
As a parent myself, I understand what it means to want the very best for your child. I know the worry of watching them struggle, and the joy of seeing them grow in confidence. That perspective shapes everything I do — I don't just teach; I genuinely care about every child I work with.
My approach is built on mastery principles, growth mindset, and the belief that when children feel engaged, supported, and excited about learning, progress follows naturally.
