Meaningful, Personalised Learning for Home-Educated Children

I offer home education sessions in Maths and Literacy, designed for children who benefit from a more engaging, supportive, and personalised learning experience.

With over 10 years of teaching and tutoring experience, including leadership as a Head of Maths and a Master's degree in Education, I provide high-quality sessions in two formats: online group sessions and one-to-one lessons available online or in person.

Online group sessions are delivered in small groups of no more than eight children. Keeping groups intentionally small allows me to build strong relationships with pupils, adapt teaching to meet individual needs, encourage meaningful discussion, and ensure every child receives the attention and support they deserve.

One-to-one sessions are fully personalised — the content, pace, and focus within each subject are tailored entirely to your child, whether online or in person.

My approach is built on a simple belief: children learn best when they are engaged, challenged, and excited about what they are learning. In Maths, this means building deep understanding through a mastery approach. In Literacy, lessons are led by your child's own interests — topics and texts are chosen around what they love, making reading and writing genuinely enjoyable. Every lesson is carefully planned to be purposeful, interactive, and accessible.

Who Is This Suitable For?

My home education provision is ideal for:

  • Home-educated pupils seeking a structured, high-quality education in Maths and Literacy

  • Children who thrive in a small-group setting and enjoy learning alongside peers

  • Pupils who would benefit from fully personalised one-to-one support

  • Children who have become disengaged from traditional school settings

  • Learners who need to build confidence or close gaps in their learning

  • Children who would benefit from greater challenge and academic stretch

  • Families seeking a provision that prioritises both academic progress and wellbeing

What Does Learning Look Like?

  • Online group sessions delivered in small groups of no more than eight pupils, or personalised one-to-one lessons online or in person

  • Separate Maths and Literacy sessions — book one or both depending on your child's needs

  • Maths taught through a mastery approach, building deep understanding, fluency, and problem-solving skills

  • Literacy led by your child's interests — topics and texts chosen around what they love

  • Engaging lessons that promote curiosity, discussion, and critical thinking

  • Practical and interactive learning wherever possible

  • Regular written reports so parents have a clear picture of progress

Why Families Choose My Approach

Parents choose this provision because it offers genuine flexibility alongside consistent quality. Families who opt for group sessions value the structure, peer interaction, and social element of learning alongside others in a small, supportive setting. Those who choose one-to-one appreciate the fully personalised focus — lessons built entirely around their child's pace, needs, and starting point.

Whichever format suits your family, the goal is the same: to help children become confident, curious learners who enjoy the process of learning, develop strong self-belief, and achieve their full potential.
