Grouped Classes,
Bridge and Boost:

Designed for students below age expectations, my Bridge and Boost classes build confidence, close learning gaps, and strengthen core maths and literacy skills for KS2 readiness.

Grouped Classes,
Bridge and Boost Maths:

Classes begin with core number facts—times tables, number bonds, and mental arithmetic—to build fluency and accuracy. We then move through formal written methods for the four operations, emphasising the use of inverse operations and problem-solving strategies. Each step is carefully scaffolded to ensure children grasp foundational concepts before tackling more complex content, all within a mastery framework that promotes lasting progress.

Grouped Classes,
Bridge and Boost Literacy:

Literacy classes revisit key skills in spelling, grammar, reading, and writing. I use DfE statutory word lists, phonics strategies, and sentence-building techniques to strengthen spelling and decoding. Grammar is taught step-by-step, from basic word classes to more advanced structures. Reading tasks focus on inference, vocabulary, and comprehension through guided exploration of short texts. This gradual, supportive approach helps students build both confidence and competence in literacy.
